A few years ago, I went on an adventure to Ireland. It was pure magic ✨ I found myself roaming the hill sides, sipping on Guinness in pubs, in and out of book stores, and museums. I even found myself leaning backwards over a castle wall to kiss the Blarney Stone. But hey, they say kissing the stone brings the gift of eloquence and luck 🍀 And I like to think that quick smooch sure did, and continues to bring me luck all these years later! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, this week we bring a little bit of Ireland to the ‘Burgh. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Grab a Guinness and some of @victoriasfudgealicious dark chocolate pecan bark for the perfect pairing. Most days you can find me dreaming about Maxine. I’ve planned out all of her details, from the color palette all the way down to the color trim on her wheels. But that’s only a part of starting this company. The other part is thinking ahead to all of the one-of-a-kind treats we can make happen for all the sweet events out there! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I come from a long line of chocolatiers, starting with my grandfather. His chocolate legacy has carried onto my parents, aka my collaborators on all our soon-to-be-treats. Their current company @victoriasfudgealicious has mastered my grandfather’s recipes, adding a few new recipes of their own to create the perfect treat! Hey, I’m Megan! Owner of choc-go-latier & and operator of soon-to-be “Maxine!” I’m so excited to introduce myself and welcome some new friends to my small business adventure! I’ve wanted to go “mobile” for sometime now (Yes, I totally had a vision board. And yes, it’s still hanging on my fridge). At first I just wasn’t sure how or exactly what I wanted to go “mobile” with. Then, a little time off my everyday job happened, and a lot of wine, I mean time, to sit on my pillow porch and think, happened. And it hit me...CHOCOLATE! Something I know, oh so well, both as a business and as a taste tester. Choc-go-latier is a product of everything I’m passionate about; getting creative, bringing together loved ones, making moments, and always finding a way to add in a little something sweet. Some friends that already follow, know that we’ve been finding ways to get out there while “Maxine” is being worked on, and I wanted to thank you all that have shown us support! Our darling trailer is still being worked on, but she’s truckin’ along. I anticipate that we will have her up and running very, very soon, and I could not be more excited! Stay tuned, sweet friends!
